Well, we're back! And not even 24 hours into being here in Japan, Ray was off on a road trip to his first set of away games. They played Hamamatsu, the same team that had the 7'9" Chinese man last year. They also won the championship, and this year are leading the conference. Despite jet lag and fatigue, Ray played great. They split their games, losing the first but winning the second!
The two girls on the far left are teammate girlfriends. I'm not the only girl this year!! The woman to my direct left is Michi, my good friend from last year. She and her husband drove us to the game. (My Little Peas look big here, don't they??)
In the second game, Ray had a HUGE dunk, scored in double figures, and hit two clinch free throws at the end to help his team tighten the win.
After the game, the team bows to the crowd....
So many Lake Stars fans had made the three hour drive to come see Ray. They had come clad with posters and signs. So encouraging for him, and another reminder of the support we really do have here...

Ha! I *love* looking at your photos!! And Ray, congrats. It's clear that you have given so much, and continue to do so. Look at the love surrounding you both. I carry you with me always, from here.
