We have a favorite area of Biwa Lake that we ride our bikes over frequently. Every day you can see loads of waterfowl, tall herons and turtles sunning themselves. But the devastating part is that this particular section is absolutely trashed. We couldn't take it any longer!
On Monday Ray and I rented a small paddle boat and spent the day in the sun, picking up the soggy trash from a small section of lake. We had a blast! We were able to fill five huge garbage bags, and see the results when we were through.
Don't worry... we wore gloves!!
