...oh dear, sweet boy. We were able to go home with Sophia on Monday, but Sol had to stay in the hospital to be "monitored". We finally were able to meet with the Doc and discovered that he's a healthy little boy, though he just needs to put some weight on his bones. This week has been a week of successes, however. On Tuesday, he had his feeding tube removed and the additional oxygen in his incubator cut. On Wednesday he was able to be removed from the incubator and breastfed, as well as freed from his IV. Feeding this little boy was pure bliss for me. I was able to capture this smile photo- just melts my heart...
And today, Thursday, Sol was completely free from any cords!! It looks like he may be able to come home with us any day. Can't wait to have our little family together again!!
