We found out that our paperwork to get the babies their passports had not been processed on time, so we would have to wait in Japan for a couple weeks longer than anticipated. Instead of getting frustrated, Ray and I decided to make the most of our final days in this country. We ended up truly making it count.
Ray's teammate, Shinya, invited us to his family's house a couple hours from Otsu for a big lunch. The food was delicious, the company delightful, and the house was just beautiful- truly Japanese style.
