Good Morning!

Projects...

Our pastor's wife is a professional photographer and she's been wanting to build a staging area for photos. Due to a broken foot, and her husband being more than busy, she's been unable to get started on any projects. Ray and I were excited to be able to help her and get something started for her...

This little dragonfly met us at the job site.

Of course Sophia and Sol were excited to learn the tricks of the trade...

Daddy brought his tools and saws and began building an arbor from scratch. He's so good at things like that...

A family affair...

Five Month Manicure

"Sophie, how old are you?"

Sooo, "the claw" lasted for a while. Now, her fist has opened and the world of her hand has broadened. For Ms. Sophia, it's her hand, 24/7. We call it her "manicure" because when she looks at it, it looks just like a lady admiring her new nail job.

We've been spending some long days at the Laing's pool. Here Sol is lounging with Emily...

We're truly having a wonderful summer...

Mum Mums...

Now that the babes are 5 months, this opens up the world a bit more to foods. Our most recent addition to their diet has been a rice teething biscuit called, "Baby Mum Mums". They love them! Sol has definitely mastered the holding on process...

...Sophie is a different story!

Gettin' Seussical...

The babes attended their first birthday party for their friend Caden who just turned 1! I regret this is the only photo I took...

When we got home, the little ones were just goofy. Lots of giggles. Must've been the Seuss onesies that Auntie Chelsea, Uncle Jake and Cousin Ashton gifted!!

Lake Daze, Day 1

Our dear friends, the Laings, spend a lot of time out at a lake near Eugene. They invited us and the babes along for a couple of days of relaxation and incredible company.

Here, Joey (the ring bearer in our wedding, now three years older!), is loving on Sol...

They had infant life jackets, so our little ones could enjoy their first boat ride!!

Sophie has a need for speed!!

Just floatin'!

Our little Sol has these lush lips that are so darling...

But recently he's been sucking in that bottom lips. It makes us crack up every time! We think its probably a sign of teething...

For dinner, Michelle prepared an amazing clam bake, with fresh clams, shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes and more. This whole pot was then poured on the table and eaten with the hands. SO yummy, SO fun! This will definitely be replicated. Thank you Michelle!!!

Lake Daze, Day 2

Always plenty of loving attention...

...and yummy snacks!

Is that wrong?

This little man will be crawling SOON!

He loves dangling upside down. He's our little fruit bat!

And today I even tried a little bit of wake surfing. FUN! ...But that darned tongue! Goodness...

Our first camping trip!

Papa returned home from Qatar last Wednesday, so we begged him and Mama to take us for our first camping trip. They decided we'd head up the Clackamas River, where Mama and Papa had gone camping when they first found out they were pregnant with us!
It was SO beautiful up there. We really loved sleeping under the trees...

And we loved hanging out on the picnic table while Papa cooked Mama yummy Indian and Thai foods! We wore our oriental suits for the occasion...

The weather couldn't have been better...

Hangin' with Mama...

...And Papa too!

Cheesin' in the tent before our first night!

We slept while Mama and Papa enjoyed their dinner together. Papa brought some fun ingredients home from Qatar to make her some special meals...

We sure loved sleeping in the tent!

The next day Mama and Papa went fly fishing. They caught some trout, but they were too small to keep...

We just hung out and watched the clouds pass...

...and while the adults weren't looking, snuck tastes of each other's hands and heads...

We sure had fun! We want to go camping again soooon!!
