4 Months and 1 Week

So many changes in such a short amount of time; these little ones are certainly coming into their own. They are SO different from one another, and so perfectly unique.

Solomon: He's definitely discovered his voice. He loves to "sing", chirp, squeal and make all sorts of high pitched noises. He's always ready to smile, and we've found he's quite ticklish under his chin. This gets him into a fit of smiles and giggles every time.
He's also discovering how strong his legs are. When on his belly, he likes to arch his bum into the air so his body is in a triangle and then roll over.
He loves to snuggle, and still is our little thumb sucker and "blankie" boy. He likes to have something snuggled up to his chest, as you can see in the photo below.
His eyes are changing from light blue, to green, to perhaps brown now but they are still changing. We can't tell what his hair color will be yet either! He is still about a pound lighter than his sister. He weighed in at 11 lbs. 9 oz. on Wednesday.

Sophia: She too is becoming audible, but in a different way. She likes to "hoot", almost like a hoot owl... a like "hoo, hoo, hoo" over and over again. She also is really picking up on our gestures too and beginning to mimic us.
Sophia really likes to be on her tummy, sturdy arms under her and head in the air, and just looks around. She's very perceptive.
She loves to smile, mostly with her mouth wide open, and definitely is the livelier of the two. She has bright blue eyes, and perhaps a bit of red in her blond hair! She weighed in at 12 lbs. 13 oz. on Wednesday.

Seeing these two grow and develop has been the joy of our lives. We are SO blessed!!!

Stonewood

For three years now, Josh Rosen and Josh Garrels have held a concert out in the country near Eugene. They have called this show "Stonewood", but for the past two years I haven't been able to make it. I am so very pleased that I was able to join them for some incredible music and a full moon this year!

Sophia, in her little red dress, pretty as can be...

Oh precious little boy, staying cool...

Joshua Rosen...

Josh Garrels... glowing...

Thank you- to both of you- for gracing us with your music that inspires the soul and speaks so much truth...

Swimming in the sun...

These photos are in reverse order:

This is a little man, tuckered out after our fun in the sun...

And his sis too!

Sooo, we wanted to take our babes swimming, but could only find a swim diaper for Sophie. As a result, Sol had to show off the little flowered diaper too. He didn't seem to mind...

Ms. Sophia even has a matching sun hat!!

Daddy time...

Ray received a call up from his agent last week with an offer to fly out to Qatar and play with their national team for a month. If after a month Ray fills their need for a player, he will be staying until November, and myself and the kiddos will fly out to join him!

All said, Ray flew out yesterday (Tuesday) in a whirlwind. Because time was so limited before he left, the babes soaked up all the 'Daddy time' they could.

We already miss you, Papa. You mean the WORLD to all three of us!!!

Festival Festivities!

The farm looked its very best this year at the Lavender Festival... and we had an absolute blast! Good music, great weather, fantastic lavender food and festivities- and best of all- amazing people. We sure had a great time!

On the Farm...

We had the opportunity to spend an evening with Jadyne on the farm in Port Townsend. I feel so at peace there- such quiet living. We ate nearly the entire meal from the land and enjoyed each other's company. Steve has done an amazing job at building the house from timber and other resources from the property. I love it there!
